Today's country music is an embodiment of life's pleasures and heartbreaks, of loving and losing, drinking and letting angst out. This has probably evolved from Honky Tonk music, which has been popularized by Jimmie Rodgers, Bob Wills, and Western Swing.
Deana Carter is just one of the artists that has made her niche in the country music scene. Although her career took years before it kicked off, she now has quite a number of albums to show, including one that will be released this October 2007. Trisha Yearwood is also another country music artist that merits getting attention. She has already won three Grammys and has had 8 more number one singles. All her 11 albums have been either gold or platinum certified, which serves as enough proof that she's a really talented singer.
News has it that even Jessica Simpson is now going to break into the country music genre. Her manager (also her father) claims that country music is the only pure music form left and Jessica's from Texas so it would be easy for her to be accepted by country music fans. Well, whether that will hold true is already up to the people to decide.
